[Athi River: September 9, 2025] Hundreds of freshmen trooped into the Athi River Campus Amphitheater for their first Chapel Service last Tuesday as they began their campus life a day after reporting.

The Daystar Christian Fellowship (DCF) led an uplifting praise and worship, providing an atmosphere for deep ministration among the congregants.

As the solemn worship atmosphere faded out, the Nairobi Campus Pastoral Assistant Pastor Felix Simotwo took to the dais to make opening remarks, acknowledging that chapel services are a part of campus life at Daystar University.

On his part, the Chair of the Daystar Christian Fellowship (DCF) Mr. Emmanuel Mukoya, encouraged the new students to plug into various serve teams, clubs and associations such as the music ministry or sports, in order to have a vibrant academic journey.

The Deputy Chaplain Main Campus, Rev. Josphat Kimacia delivered a sermon titled: Stand Firm in the Lord, drawn from Phillipians 3:1-14. He cautioned the congregation against putting their confidence in the flesh, encouraging them to put their trust in Christ and the power of his resurrection.

Echoing the Vice Chancellor’s mantra “Know your Story,” Rev. Kimacia told the new students to keep their goals in view, so as to live their God-given purpose.
